Welcome to Berkana!
Since 1999, Berkana, Center for Media and Education, Inc., a 501(c) (3) non-profit, has proudly supported media and educational projects in Delaware that profile and examine environmental, cultural, historical, and social topics important to Delawareans and the larger regional population.

Working with partner and funding organizations, non-profits, businesses, governments, college interns and greatly valued volunteers, Berkana has successfully produced educational documentaries and interstitials (shorts), state-wide presentations, programming and special cultural and environmental projects on topics such as immigration, coastal storms, environmental policy, racial inequality, environmental issues, and the little-known, rich and vibrant history and culture of Delaware.
These programs are periodically shown on PBS, at public presentations, distributed to libraries, partner websites and some are available for sale to the general public. Interviews and documentaries produced by Berkana are archived at the Delaware Public Archives for use by researchers and scholars.
